Original era manufacture. A British inspired bayonet, made under contract in the US prior to WWI, and adopted for use with the US M1917 rifle. Remington manufacture, with a second pattern scabbard. The blade has a dark parkerized finish, perhaps added for use during WWII. Sound overall, normal age and wear.
