Original era manufacture. A British contract bayonet made by Remington prior to WWI. Two dates on the ricasso, 1913, and 7 17, with Remington in a circle. The blade is clean, showing an even steel patina finish, the tip is very slightly blunted. US pattern grips in good repair, with an even steel patina finish to the guard and pommel. Very sound 2nd pattern leather and metal scabbard with a post production army paint finish. Sound bayonet showing normal age and wear.
