Original era manufacture. British contract bayonet made by Remington, with a 1913 date on the ricasso. The British markings have been struck out, and a US proof has been added circa 1917. Even parkerized finish to the blade surface with evidence of an old cleaning. Original finish, US style wooden grips showing wear and service use. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel. Modern replacement scabbard of the proper pattern.
