Original era manufacture. A clean example of the US M1917 service bayonet and 1st pattern scabbard. Remington manufacture, showing a dark steel patina finish to the blade surface, with evidence of an old sharpening on the cutting edge. The blue band at the base of the blade is faint, but visible. Most of the original blue finish remains on the guard and pommel, with nice original finish wooden grips. Dark steel patina finish on the scabbard throat and chape, original finish to the leather scabbard body. The leather M1910 suspension tab shows wear and use but remains complete.
