Original era manufacture. A very sound example of a Winchester produced M1917 bayonet. The blade exhibits most of its original finish, factory edge and the small blue band on both sides of the ricasso. Original blue finish to the guard and pommel, with an operable lock button, original finish to the wooden grips, with minimal marring from handling. There are some scattered areas of oil/cosmoline staining on the blade, with a touch of corrosion pitting at the point on one side. Minimal service use.
