Original era manufacture. Right out of an old local collection is this very clean example of the US Model 1917 Bolo Knife, Plumb manufacture and dated 1918. Most of the original dark finish remains on the blade, 100% on the flat side, on the obverse the edge itself is bright, but appears to have left the factory that way. Never sharpened. Original finish rough hewn grips in very sound condition. Wooden, rawhide covered sheath with a tan canvas, leather tipped covering. Maker marked Brauer Bros. 1918.
