Original era manufacture. Clear markings on the ricasso, A.C.CO. CHICAGO 1918, and U.S.MOD 1917.C.T.The blade retains nearly all of its original finish remaining, with minimal runner wear. Excellent rough-hewn wood grips, with original finish to the guard and pommel.Excellent condition canvas covered wooden scabbard, with a 1918 date on the leather chape. A thin section of the rawhide covering on the scabbard body is missing.
