Original era manufacture. Blurred markings on the ricasso, Plumb, St Louis 1918, and U.S.MOD1917.C.T.The blade displays a mix steel patina mixed with an old OD paint finish. Traces of the paint can be seen on the blade surface, with more visible on the ricasso. Sound rough hewn wood grips, with what looks to be more of the OD paint finish.Sound condition,  canvas covered wooden scabbard, with a 1918 date on the leather chape, unit marked on the reverse 2A. Overall it exhibits honest service use and wear.
