Original era manufacture. A near complete example of the classic US helmet of WWI, very sound original  liner with adjusting instructions, with makers markings on the underside of the black oilskin sweatband.There is a good quality replacement chinstrap of leather, utilizing the original steel adjusting buckle. Most of the original rough texture finish remains on the helmet shell; no major dings or dents to the helmet, just normal age and wear of 100 years.
