Original era manufacture. A near complete example of a US made WWI steel helmet, missing only the adjusting tag in the crown. Complete unbroken leather chinstrap, with most of the gray wool top pad remaining. On the front of the helmet is a very nice rendition of a 2nd Division insignia, representing the men of the Divisional Headquarters. Normal age and wear. Splotch of old garage paint on the top of the helmet, otherwise original paint throughout.
