Original era manufacture. Standard, US made Doughboy helmet of WWI, complete with liner & strap. The edge of the helmet has a fairly dramatic dent on one side, perhaps caused by service use during WWI. Pliable, but dry leather chinstrap is unbroken. The liner is complete but no longer attached to the interior of the helmet. Maker and size marked 7 1/4 under the oilcloth but no visible date.
