Original era manufacture. Standard M1917 US made steel helmet which was produced with the three holes on each side of the rim which allowed the attachment of the experimental Wilmer Eyeshield. Handpainted 91st Division emblem on the front of the helmet, and on its reverse, a nicely incised rendition of a shield and star. Unit marked on the chinstrap, HQ 364, one of the three Infantry regiments which made up the 91st Division. A solid helmet showing normal age and wear.
