Original period manufacture. A complete examplewith a mix of original factory finish and steel patina on the9 inch, triangular blade. The blade is clean with some light surface staining. Blade is a little tight in the scabbard. The guard retains most of its original finish and is maker marked U.S. LF&C 1917 on the top side. Original finish wood grip showing sometypical scratching and denting from service use, no cracks or chips.Dark greenleather bodied scabbard in sound condition, traces of an old black paint finish and cleaned surface corrosion on the throat and chape, with all securing rivets in place.The possession of these knives in some states/countries is prohibited.
