Original era manufacture. US WWI Michigan/Wisconsin soldier's grouping which formed part of a large collection purchased from a long-time Arizona collector. The grouping includes a Mexican Border Service Medal (12748 Roy C. Peavey), WWI Victory Medal with 4 clasps, Wisconsin Border Service Medal, sterling marked 2-bar Expert Rifleman Badge, Bronze Marksman Badge, Wisconsin State National Guard Encampment Medal, 1916 State Border Service badge. Die cut red wool felt 32nd Division SSI, 2 WWI pocket medals and assorted bronze collar insignia. The Border Service Medal checks out in the rosters as awarded to Peavey, who served on the border at El Paso in 1916, later in the 126th Infantry in France in WWI. He gave his residence as his Mother's home in Adrian Michigan. He went to France with his regiment in February 1918, returning to the USA a year later, then serving as a Wagon Driver in the 126th.
