Original era manufacture. Terrific old holster which is dated 1915 on its reverse and made at the Rock Island Arsenal. The oval outline and US on the flap has been enhanced and at the tip is a handcarved and painted 1st Infantry Division emblem. Lifting up the flap the soldiers name and unit can be seen, B Co 1st MG Bn. Amazingly its original leather leg strap is intact. The leather is a little dry and shows some surface scuffing but not too bad considering its nearly 100 years old.
