Original era manufacture. Sound, 1917 dated khaki canvas cover with a very clear US stencil on it's front, crossed sabers with 314 above and H below. 1918 dated aluminum bodied canteen with cap cork, unmarked WWI aluminum cup. The rig displays honest service wear and use but is quite sound for display. The 314th Cavalry regiment was formed in early 1918, but broken up later in the year to form new Artillery units.
