Original era manufacture. Partial wrap brooch, numbered and named Purple Heart, 42674. Named to John Giese. Shows wear from age and handling, good research project. A fellow collector did a bit of research on Mr Giese and found that he hailed from North Dakota, with his Infantry regiment perhaps being the 130th, which would make this a 33rd Division PH.
