Original period manufacture. An issue quality hat of dark blue wool with a gold embroidered cap tally USS New York,now with a dark toned finish. The liner is of blue cotton chintz with handpainted lettering in yellow, H. Van Riper, USS N.Y. No moth issues to report, normal age and wear.
