Original era issue. Pair of WWI private purchase dogtags named to Lt. P.A. Sieberling U.S.R. Online research reveals the soldier to be Paul Adelbert Sieberling who served with the 9th Machine Gun Battalion during WWI. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for rescuing a wounded soldier lying in a shell hole 100 yards in advance of our lines. He was also awarded the Silver Star for actions while serving with Company A, at Hill 241 October 9th 1918 for personally reconnoitering for new gun positions under enemy machine-gun and artillery fire. Attached to the same chain as Lt. Sieberling, is his son's WWII dogtag. Comes with a print-out sheet detailing his citations.
