Original era manufacture. Khaki canvas haversack, which must have been the inspiration for the M1936 Musette Bag. Russet Brown leather reinforced bottom, and leather securing straps. Complete with a detachable shoulder strap, tear in fabric of the back storage pocket. Stained from service use. Identified to Lt. H.W. Billman who served with Company D, 109th MG BN, 28th Division in France during WWI.
