Original era manufacture. A nice quality, private purchase uniform set for a Captain in the Medical Corps.Regulation pattern officers coat with all buttons present. US & Medical insignia on the collar, with matching Captains rank on each shoulder. Three overseas stripes on the left cuff, indicating 1.5 years service overseas. There is a tailor's label inside the interior pocket which reads " E.J.Baker 28 Charles Street Cardiff, Lt. R.R. McDavid USA Sept 18. The coat size is about a 38 Long. Minor snagging across the left upper pocket, with a few small scattered moth bites, otherwise very clean.Matching material breeches with an original waistbelt, waist measures about 34 inches. There is a one inch tear in the left rear hip, and a scattered moth bite or two, otherwise the breeches are sound. All buttons are present. Regulation officers visor hat in matching material, but missing its chinstrap and side buttons. Size about 6 3/4. No moth damage and the hat is not crushed.Included at the time of our purchase are a pair of leather leggings and an officers Sam Browne Belt minus the shoulder strap. Sound overall, normal age and wear.
