Original era photography. US WWI real photo postcard of the graveyard cross for Leut Quentin Roosevelt, Air Service. Killed in Action July 1918. Youngest son of former President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt and First Lady Edith Roosevelt, he served as a Pursuit Pilot in the 95th Aero Squadron. He was killed in aerial combat while flying a Nieuport 28 on the 14th of July 1918. The Germans recovered his body and buried him with full military honors. After the Armistace, his grave became a shrine of sorts with many photographs taken of the site.
