Original era manufacture. Green canvas cover with a clear U.S. stencil on the body, with two darkened brass eagle-snap closure buttons. No visible maker markings or date, the cover is basically sound, showing normal use and age, with a small tear in the fabric bottom.Early production, seamless body, aluminum canteen, with a flat-topped cap with original cork. Standard WWI canteen cup, which is maker marked LF&C 1918, with a WWII replacement folding handle. The canteen is a very snug fit inside the cup.Attached to the M1910 belt hook, is a MILLS marked, 1916 dated belt slide in green canvas, with what looks to be unit markings, 33 over 427.
