Original period manufacture. Dark brown leather rifle scabbard with two attaching straps with snaphooks. It is maker marked and dated on the upper edge above the unit mark. The body is sound, not crushed with an old waxed leather finish. The attaching straps are pliable, only damage to report is that one of the upper strap loops on the body has torn away on one side.
