Original era manufacture. A complete US WWI steel helmet with its original liner and near complete chinstrap. At some point in the past someone has placed a post WWI USMC, darkened brass EGA emblem on the front. Perhaps period done, or just as likely an attempt to "Gild The Lily" . Nice patina to it, good for display.
