Original era manufacture. Standard issue T-Handle shovel with US stamps on the blade shank and wooden handle. About 80% of its dark OD paint finish remains. Light tan canvas shovel cover with stenciled US and crossed rifle unit insignia. Maker marked and dated 1918 on the reverse. Shows age and use, the small metal tip on the connecting strap is missing.
