Original era manufacture. Standard issue T-Handle shovel with US stamps on the blade shank and wooden handle. About 80% of its dark OD paint finish remains. Light tan canvas shovel cover with a Krag-type bayonet scabbard hanger, stenciled crossed rifles with a rather faint 25 (or 27) over E. The scabbard shows staining with a heavy rust patina to the metal hanger, leather securing strap is sound but shows it's age.
