Original era manufacture. A highly polished shell base which has been converted into a US visor hat, but oddly, with a bullet top.Polished copper US tunic button at front, with a 1916 dated base. The inside of the hat displays considerable staining from tobacco ash, although just how that was accomplished with the bullet top is somewhat of a mystery.
