Original era manufacture. A very well made WWI era trench art letter opener, which uses a 30.06 casing as a handle, with three 30.06 projectiles as ferrule and guard. Well formed brass blade. Overall measurement is 7.5 inches, with a pleasing patina finish. The headstamp on the casing is dated 18, and marked W.R.A.CO, Winchester Repeating Arms Company.
