Original era manufacture. A heavy brass trench art US enlisted hat, made from a WWI German Navy shell casing. Attached to the front is a full size US Army enlisted hat insignia, with a full size cuff button on each side. The base markings include the arsenal name Magdeburg, a Crown-M proof and 1909 date.
