Original era manufacture. Standard US WWI Victory Medal with full wrap suspension bar. Attached to the ribbon above the clasp is a small Maltese Cross device, authorized by the US Navy for personnel who served ashore in France during WWI. It was originally intended to be worn on the ribbon bar in lieu of the Army star, however Marines often placed it on the medal ribbon in spite of regulations to the contrary. See page 121, "The Interallied Victory Medal of World War I" by Alexander J. Laslo for more information. Ribbon looks a little fresh, likely an assembled set, good as a filler.
