Original era manufacture. A nice grouping of medals and period photographs pertaining to the story of PFC. "Archie" Bokay, who served with the 104th Infantry Division in Europe during WWII.The lot includes the following; named slot brooch Bronze Star, numbered edge Purple Heart (unnamed), Good Conduct Medal, ETO Medal with three stars, American Defense Medal and Victory Medal. Also included, his sterling marked CIB, Marksmanship badge, an embroidered CIB on wool shirt material, a cut-edge 104th Division SSI, a German made 104th SSI, a cotton embroidered on wool European Civilian Affairs SSI, his brass collar insignia and two period black and white photos of PFC Bokay.One snapshot shows him standing in front of the HQ of the European Civilian Affairs building, while wearing his helmet liner and CIB. The other image is of Bokay and a fellow soldier inspecting a bomb shelter in the front yard of a German home in Duren Germany. A nice lot worthy of further research.
