Original period manufacture. Cotton embroidered, cut-edge patch which does not fluoresce under a UV light. Attached tab, with a thin band of khaki material between the two.The 17th Airborne served in the last major Airborne operation during WWII, Operation Varsity. They fought in three campaigns suffering the loss of 6745 casualties in 45 days of combat.
