Original period manufacture. Pinback distinctive insignia with an enameled obverse. The catch is present, however the lock mechanism is missing, no enamel damage. Equipped with B-17's, the 19th Bombardment Group was sent to Clark Field in late 1941 to provide additional air capabilities for the US forces stationed there. Clark Field suffered a devastating attack on the 8th of December by Japanese aircraft which destroyed 12 of the 19 B-17's at Clark Field were destroyed with 31 fatalities among the personnel. The surviving aircraft were sent to Australia to regroup.
