US WWII 1st Division Army Officers Ike Jacket, Private Purchase

Original era manufacture. A custom made, private purchase Officers quality Ike jacket in ribbed gabardine material. On the left shoulder is a cotton embroidered 1 on a light olive wool backed SSI, hand sewn to the shoulder. On the left chest are three ribbons again hand sewn to the uniform; Bronze Star, Purple Heat, ETO Medal with an Invasion Arrowhead, and one silver and one bronze campaign stars. On the lower left sleeve are five bullion wire overseas stripes.None of the stitching which holds the cloth insignia in place, pierces the silk-like lining of the uniform.The collar brass is in my opinion replaced, all of the clutch attachments are postwar. The 2nd Lieutenant bars are pinback.The jacket is very clean, just a touch of very minor mothing can be seen. Size about a 40 regular.
