Original era manufacture. First authorized for issue on November 15, 1943 awarded to officers and men of the United States Army whose conduct in combat is exemplary or whose combat action occurs in a major action. Known now as the Combat Infantry Badge, or simply the CIB. All of the badges in the lot are pinback, with the full size badge being sterling marked on the reverse. The middle badge is unmarked and is not made of silver, the smallest of the three is also sterling mark with the addition of the GEMSCO makers name.
