Original era manufacture. Rubberized fabric musette bag with a hand-drawn image of the hard fighting 34th Infantry "Red Bull" division. The bag is maker marked on the underside of the flap Langdon Tent & Awning Co. with a manufacturing date of 1942. There is some scattered wear and minor fraying, but overall the bag is quite sound. Matching era utility strap included. During WWII the 34th Division was the first US Army Division to enter combat, landing in Vichy French controlled Algeria on November 8 1942. The 34th continued the war in Italy serving at Salerno, Anzio and Cassino. It's units saw 517 days of continuous combat, more than any other US Division. It's men earned 10 Medals of Honor and 15,000 Purple Hearts. Good research potential.
