Original period manufacture. Cotton embroidered SSI, with a dark OD reverse. Activated April 15th 1941, entered combat in France on the 29th of June 1944. Falaise Gap, Seigfried Line, Battle of the Bulge, Ruhr Pocket. The 3rd Armored Division fought in five campaigns in 231 days of combat, suffering the loss of 9,243 casualties, including their commander, Major General Maurice Rose.
