Original era manufacture. Purchased years ago by a local collector at an estate sale here in Arizona. The Bronze Star was awarded during the campaign in the Philippines in 1944, for directing fire on Japanese machine gun positions while in an exposed position. The grouping includes a sterling marked CIB with sterling clutch attachments, unnamed slot brooch Bronze Star, unnamed slot brooch Purple Heart, slot broochGC medal,ribbon bars, two sets of 1st Sergeant chevrons, his dog tags, assorted patches, a newspaper clipping detailing the action which earned him the Bronze Star and a nameplate off of his desk.
