Original era manufacture. Cotton embroidered, cut-edge patch which does not glow under a UV light. The 474th was activated in January 1945 from personnel from the 1st Special Service Force and 99th Infantry Btln. The 474th assited in mopping up operations near Aachen and then proceeded to Norway via motor convoy to process the surrender of the 330,000 man German garrison.
