Original era manufacture. Standard, full-size brass & copper .50 caliber MG round which is marked and dated on it's base, FA (Frankford Arsenal) 41. This example is a bit unusual in that the bottom third of the casing was cut and the igniter wheel and wick were placed there, instead of the casing neck which is more often seen. They then put a threaded base onto the bottom of the projectile to create a seal for the lighter fluid, bet it still leaked though, lot of work went into this one. Even brass patina overall.
