Original era manufacture. Pair of pinback distinctive unit insignia as worn by members of the 51st Coastal Artillery Regiment. Raised in 1917, they were assigned to Fort Mills, Philippines after WWI, where they participated in the defense of the Philippine Islands during the Japanese Invasion in early 1942. Pin and lock attachments are sound, enameled obverse. Although quite close, they are not a matched pair.
