Original era manufacture. A private purchase 8-place ribbon bar, worn by a US Army veteran who served in the Philippines during WWII. All of the ribbons are mounted on a tan wool-felt background, with a clutchback reverse. The overall appearance is one of a toned, and muted effect, showing honest age and wear. My guess is that the man served as an enlisted man during the war, became an officer, and served in the army postwar. During his service he was decorated with the Silver Star, for bravery under fire, Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal with two stars.
