Original era manufacture. A nice little lot presented to a Kansas soldier who served with HQ company, 3rd Battalion, of an infantry regiment assigned to the 95th Division. Mimeographed sheet of General Orders No.140, awarding him the Bronze Star for meritorious service, 9 November 1944-20 April 1945, while in combat in Europe. Also a 95th Division printed sheet from the 9th Army commander, W.H. Simpson commending the commander of the 95th, for the work of he and his command in the reduction of the Ruhr Pocket. Includes two German Reichsbank notes, and a trimmed Bronze Star citation. All of the paper shows age and wear, remaining quite readable, with remnants of old masking tape used to mount it in a display.
