Original period manufacture. Regulation size Airborne qualification wings, which are sterling marked on the reverse. Straight pin mount, pleasing silver patina finish. Mounted to the body of the insignia are two bronze stars indicating two combat jumps. This was a popular practice for Airborne troops during the war.
