Original era manufacture. US WWII American Red Cross Volunteer dress with self belt, gray with removable white pique collar that has been hand stitched on. This dress has removable white epaulets. The dress is fastened with plain white buttons. A large Greek red cross on a white square backing is worn over the left bodice pocket. The cap is "Dutch-type" having a white pique front the machine woven red cross on a square of white cloth in the center and a matching gray back flap, which button to form the headpiece. As seen in "Dressed for Duty" volume one, by Jill Halcomb-Smith.This dress is a size 12 manufactured by Stein Uniform Co., approximate 32 inch bust, 41 inches longVery nice condition with all buttons present and self belt.
