Original era manufacture. Four pocket enlisted coat, size marked 38L, with insignia for a Technical Sergeant serving in Company K, 160th Infantry Rgt, 40th Division during WWII. 1941 dated issue tag in the lower right pocket, screwback enlisted collar brass with screwback distinctive unit insignia of the 160th Infantry. Sterling marked Combat Infantry Badge & Expert Marksmanship Badge, six ribbons, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon & Liberation of the Philippines ribbon. Inside the coat is a name tag for Kendall Clampitt, a resident of Los Angeles California, who joined the army in 1942. There is also a handwritten identifier in the collar, C4327, which matches a US Army Hospital Admission Card File, service number 39264327, showing an admission in December 1942 and discharge in January 1943. An additional Hospital File exists for the same soldier, but now with a different service number, with a discharge date in 1945. Copies of both files are included. With the coat are a pair of 1942 dated enlisted trousers. The coat is moth free, few small bites on the trousers. During WWII the 40th Division saw combat service in the Pacific Theater, primarily in the Philippines, but also on New Britain.
