Original era manufacture. An assembled set consisting of a waist length open jacket with ultramarine lapels. Captain grade rank insignia on the cuffs with a winged prop insignia directly sewn into the cuff material. Gold brocade cuff trim with an ultramarine center stripe. Heavy gold wire shoulder knots which are pinned in place, with a full complement of rimmed eagle buttons on the front, each secured by a metal brad allowing easy removal for cleaning. White cotton vest secured with four cuff size eagle buttons down the front, the material has yellowed a bit from age. Matching dark blue wool trousers with an ultramarine stripe piped in golden orange down the outside seam of each leg. Both the vest and trousers display the last name of Postman, no name tag in the coat, just a Union label. No moth issues to report. Trouser waistband measures 16 inches, inseam 29 inches (1.5 inch section of the seam has opened up), the coat is about a size 40.
