Original era manufacture. A nice grouping of items belonging to a Navigator who possibly served with the 337th Bomb Squadron, 96th Bomb Group, 8th US Air Force during WWII.The lot includes and assortment of metal rank and collar insignia, a British made 8th AF SSI, an Air Corps ID badge with photo, several 3 place ribbon bars DFC, AM & ETO, a beautiful pair of British made bullion wire Navigator wings by Gwendyr, and best of all, a short-snorter bill listing all of the missions he flew on from May of 1944 until September 20th of 1944, 35 in all, Berlin, Frankfurt, Ludwigshafen, Stuttgart being some of the targets.I tried to narrow down his service a bit but with no real success. I did find a listing for him on a UK website identifying him to the 96th & 337th, but as a Bombardier. This was a local purchase, and did find him buried at the National Cemetery in Phoenix.
