Original period manufacture. A large pattern cloth insignia of embroidered cotton on blue wool with a white cheesecloth reverse, and a bound edge.The insignia measures 4 x 5 inches. Never on a uniform. Does not fluoresce under a UV light.  Smaller patch shown for size comparison only.
